Hi faithful supporters of Teresa! I have the following announcements for Teresa Tseng's events and appearances schedule for Dec 2007 and Jan 2008 so please keep a lookout and see if you can participate actively in any of the following events and activities, giving Teresa all the support she needs to continue to shine as one of the finest Campus Superstars in Singapore! 1) Teresa's designated song in the SPOP songwriting competition《雨伞》written by 陈明娴 Dione Tan is NOW open for voting! http://spop.mediacorptv.sg/voting.htm
As you all know by now, Teresa was invited to sing one of the SPOP top 12 song compositions and the full version is now up on SPOP's website and open for public voting. To listen to the song, you have to go to the site and you should look under song number five. Hold your mouse cursor over the speaker icon on that page and you should be able to hear the music playing and Teresa's fabulous rendition of the song.
I don't want to spoil the fun here so I would rather keep my comments of that song for now and let everyone else judge for themselves how good the song is through Teresa's singing.
If you think you like the song, you can then click on the name of the songwriter and vote for it! You will need to register your particulars with MediaCorp with you wish to vote but that form is simple enough and should not take more than 3 minutes to fill in. Each registered member can vote up to 10 times every day so please rack up your daily quota of votes if you really really love to hear Teresa sing the song for the Grand Finals of the SPOP competition! Voting period is from 26 November 2007 to 21 January 2008 (2359hrs).
After voting, you can also use the inbuilt email system to forward the song to as many of your friends as possible to let them vote for the song too!
I hope everyone can like the song as much as I do and put that extra effort to vote for the song brought about so beautifully by our dearest Teresa! I have already voted. What are you waiting for?2) Teresa Tseng will appear as a guest celebrity on SPOP on 17 Dec 2007 (Monday) at 8pm on MediaCorp Channel U in the episode where Chen Weilian is the main guest celebrity. Please stay tuned that night to watch the exciting duet with Chen Weilian!3) Teresa Tseng will appear on SPOP as a designated singer for the song 《雨伞》on SPOP episode five at 8pm on MediaCorp Channel U in front of a panel of judges. Please stay tuned that night to listen to her rendition of the song onstage!4) Teresa Tseng has been invited to attend yet another movie premiere in December 2007 (she loves to watch movies). Details of the movie premiere will be made available as soon as possible. Below is the post I have put up on MediaCorp's Community Forums for SPOP. I am trying to find time to write a Chinese version as well because I prefer to use Chinese to express some of the singing terminology.
In any case, I hope all of you can do your best to contribute to the voting efforts for the song because I think it has potential to reach all the way to the Grand Finals of the SPOP competition! Jia you everyone! Go vote 10 times a day everday!

I would like to use this thread as an appeal for support for Song No. 5《雨伞》By 陈明娴 (Designated celebrity singer: Teresa Tseng, 曾咏霖).
Yes, obviously for those who knows my background would have understood that I am a long time supporter of Teresa's singing and I am so glad that Teresa is the designated singer for the said song.

Now, I am not going to be THAT biased to say that this song is the greatest SPOP song amongst the top 12 song compositions because after listening to it for almost twenty times, I believe I have a good idea of what the song's limitations are as of its final version:
1) The song is bleak in context as compared to most of the other 11 song compositions and thus of course doesn't really give a cheerful ring to it on the initial listenings.
2) Lyrical content is not exactly creative nor interesting enough as compared to the other top 11 song compositions.
3) It could have a better ending than just a broad strum of the guitar.
Nevertheless, when the song deserves its share of praises because of the following reasons:
1) Because of its mellow nature, the song fits perfectly into a nice sincere ballad without sounding commercialized, retaining a natural feel of the song experience.
2) The song is actually catchy and thus memorable enough because the tune is carefully crafted to etch in musically resonant variations that are comfortable to the ears.
3) The song sung by Teresa Tseng herself, and she has fully brought out the delicate details of the notes within the song, giving the song the necessary smoothness needed to project the context of raining.
Hope all of these help adequately to encourage more people to give the song more thought and listenings and eventually votes for it to continue in the SPOP competition.

Hi faithful supporters of Teresa!
Tonight will be the duet segment between Chen Weilian and Teresa and I know a number of you are doing video recordings. According to Chen Weilian's supporters who managed to attend the SPOP studio recording for tonight's episode, Teresa was very impressive because she could handle her portion of the duet in the song 《你最真贵》very well.
I would appreciate if those recording the SPOP episode tonight will inform the other faithful supporters of Teresa the location of their videos when they have finished uploading them onto the Internet.
Also, in the next couple of days, I will be...
1) Providing further updates regarding our voting efforts and strategy for the SPOP song 《雨伞》.
2) Providing an updated version of the Teresa's Events n Appearances Schedule For Dec 2007 and Jan 2008.

Darn...it's actually next Monday. I didn't know they'll split the Chen Weilian episode into two parts. Sheesh....we will have to wait for another week then.
The preview definitely showed Teresa even though they pixel-blurred the face. We need more patience ba.
